Good morning church family. In the week leading to Mothering Sunday, our Lenten reflection is focusing on family. The Bible teaches us that the blessings of the Lord make a person rich and add no sorrow with it (Prov. 10:22) and that children are a blessing, heritage and reward from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).
We give thanks to God for the gift of children and grandchildren. We pray and beseech the good Lord to bless our children and grandchildren.
We pray that children will not cause pain and sorrow to parents and grandparents. We pray that our children will flourish like trees planted by the river sides and that they will bring forth fruits in due seasons.
We pray for adult children who are at loggerheads with their parents, that peace may return to such families.
We pray that God will guide our children and grandchildren in the choices they make: career, marriage, friendship, etc.
Finally, we pray that God will prosper our children and grandchildren making them great and prosperous indeed.
Lord in your mercy
Hear our prayers.
Amen.

Dear Church Family, greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
As we approach mid Lent, with Mothering Sunday in view, we focus our thoughts and reflections on mothers, homes and families. The Scripture says:
‘The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down’. Proverbs 14:1
Today, we give thanks for the gift of mothers and all that they bring to the table in building, shaping and growing our homes and society. Thank you Lord for all women and mothers.
We pray for strength of character, gift of wisdom and patience for all mothers and that God will make them to be such wise builders who build homes and the society and not those who destroy them.
We pray for mothers who are struggling in one way or the other and for those mothers whose good labours in their homes go unappreciated. O Lord remember and vindicate such women.
We pray for women who sadly are tearing down their families instead of building it, O Lord please help such women to change and become true builders of their homes.
Lord in your mercy
Hear our prayers
Amen

Today is the 19th Day in Lent
TEXT: MATT 18: 1 - 11.
THEME: THE PATH TO KINGDOM GREATNESS.
What prompted the disciples of Jesus Christ to ask Him who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? Was there an argument between them, or was it because Peter was becoming prominent. He was the one to whom it was revealed that Jesus is the Messiah. He was the one who walked on the sea. He was taken to the transfiguration mountain with James and John and now the one sent to the sea to catch fish and open it's mouth to get a piece of money for payment of tax for Jesus and his own?
All these are mere speculations. It could be that they were having internal leadership tussle, which made them go to Jesus expecting He would announce one of them as the greatest. Jesus Christ disappointed them by bringing a child that knew nothing and had not contributed anything to the ministry of Christ to set as an example that anyone who behaves like the child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Wow, this means that it is not the work I do, the money I contribute more than others, my long prayers, my eloquent preaching, or holy attitude that will
make me great in the kingdom of heaven. Instead it is my childlike disposition, forgiving attitude, without counting wrong done me, my humility, reliance and dependant on my Master as my source of life and everything I need, my truthfulness, easy to accept my wrongs and confess them. Above all, not having a corrupt heart.
Which of these attributes characterize your life? How do you receive children, including new believers in Christ? Do you help them to grow in faith? Do you correct them in love when they err and forgive them because of Christ? Please don't contribute to their backsliding in the faith? Anyone who causes them to fall, it will be better a millstone is hung on his/her neck and he/she drown in the sea.
Be careful that you will not be the source of trouble in your family, church and fellowship , or society. (Ordained, leader or not) Sin must be treated with severity because of its deadly effect. Though you may not cut off any part of your body leading you to sin, you must take drastic measures to ensure that the area your sin is coming from is dealt with severely.
Heed the warning of Jesus Christ to be careful not to despise the little ones in the faith because of their newness, for Jesus Christ came to seek and save the lost. The young shall certainly grow.
Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for opening my eyes to the requirements for greatness in your kingdom. Please give me a childlike spirit.
Happy Sunday!

Today is the 18th day in Lent. 2Cor.12:8-9
Experiencing the sufficiency of God's grace.
Grace sustains us when our expectations seem deferred. St Paul's prayed for a particular matter which the Bible called a thorn on his flesh. He said for the first time, there was no answer, the second time nothing happened, there was no change, the third time God said, my grace is sufficient for you.
Have you been praying and fasting and asking God about something for a long time and it seems as though an answer is not coming, and you are being frustrated, you are giving up, you are beginning to ask many questions about whether God answers prayer at all? When you hear others giving testimonies in church it is like may be your own case is either different or they are faking it, No!
In God's move with his people, he carries his children in a pathway and teaches them loyalty, teaches them how to trust him more and more. He wants to know whether you are serving him because of that thing that you need and if you don't get it you will go for the next alternative.
He wants to understand, He searches the realms of your heart and some people will say how long will God search the realms of my heart? Now the final point is this, whether God answers your prayers or not, will it determine whether you will serve him or not? If you have faith in him, keep serving him whether answers have come or not. Look at what verse 9 says," And he said to me, my grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness." In that point where the answer has not come, the strength of God is made perfect. So most glad therefore, would I rather glory in my infirmities, glory in that your situation, has the prayers been answered, the answer is no from you, glory in it, that the power of Christ may rest upon you more mightily.
May God bless you richly. Amen

'Christian! seek not yet repose,'
hear thy guardian angel say;
thou art in the midst of foes;
'watch and pray.'
Principalities and powers,
mustering their unseen array,
wait for thy unguarded hours;
'watch and pray.'
Gird thy heavenly armour on,
wear it ever night and day;
ambushed lies the evil one;
'watch and pray.'
Hear the victors who o’ercame;
still they mark each warrior’s way;
all with one sweet voice exclaim,
'watch and pray.'
Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
him thou lovest to obey;
hide within thy heart his word,
'watch and pray.'
Watch, as if on that alone
hung the issue of the day;
pray, that help may be sent down;
'watch and pray.'
Today, in our Lenten reflection, take time, listen to the song above and pray. Let’s be vigilant, praying at all times with all manner of prayer and supplication.
May the Lord grant us to win in all our battles in Jesus' name. Amen

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105
On this 16th day in Lent, Lord inspire us through your word, enlighten our thoughts through your word, order our steps through our word, and fulfill the rich promises of your word in our lives.
Amen

In the Gospel narratives, there were accounts of Jesus feeding the multitude.
He fed 5,000 men plus an unspecified number of women and children. On a different occasion, he also fed 4,000 men plus an unspecified number of women and children.
On both occasions, His actions were driven by compassion. Secondly, he took from the loaves of bread available to feed those thousands.
This confirmed that Jesus is God. He is loving and he is compassionate. He is the great Provider. He creates out of nothing. He is a miracle worker and He hasn’t changed.
On this 15th day in Lent, may you experience God’s love and compassion afresh.
May God multiply and explode your blessings.
May the little in your hands multiply to thousands and be more than enough to your requirements.
May your needs be met by his riches in glory and may there be overflowing and surplus for you, making you blessed and a blessing.
We pray in Jesus name. Amen

Hello Church Family. It’s the 14th day in this holy season of Lent.
Please continue intentionally with private prayers and study of God’s word. Never feel discouraged, wondering if God hears your prayers. He actually does.
Never be afraid saying, maybe God has forgotten me. He hasn’t. Abram became afraid that God may fall him as years went by, but God told him, ‘fear not Abram’. By the time God visited him, he was changed from Abram to Abraham and his wife was changed from Sarai to Sarah. The rest as they say is history.
Therefore, be encouraged. Keep praying. Keep trusting in God. Don’t give up. God’s visitation is on the way. May you experience a monumental blessing this season.
Here God’s word for your encouragement:
‘Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10
Therefore, receive help from God today in Jesus name. Amen
-
On this second Sunday in Lent, God invites us to feast and fellowship with him.
In the presence of God, there’s always joy, liberty, peace, provisions and the finest of all that is you are praying for. Don’t fail to go the Lord’s house to day, for angels will be there to attend to you. The Psalmist says: ‘blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple’. There are good things in God’s house.
Join us today in God’s house to feast and fellowship with Him and lay all our burdens upon the cross. Burdens are still lifted at Calvary.
Happy Sunday and God bless. Amen

In our Lenten meditation yesterday, we reflected on the beatitudes - blessings. We concluded that missing out in one of the beatitudes equates to missing out on the rest.
Today, the 10th day in Lent, God is encouraging us not to rush quickly to judging others:
Do not judge and you will not judge (Matthew 7:1).
This partly implies that we shouldn’t rush quickly into condemning others. We must patiently investigate and be sure we have our facts and even with the facts, we should speak the truth in love.
Many today despise being corrected arguing that they are being judged. But love demands that someone in error should be corrected. Love is the key thing and it covers much but we don’t love at the expense of the truth. We must love without compromising the truth and speak the truth without compromising love.
Therefore, don’t be quick in condemning people but don’t shy away from correcting or rebuking errors.
Dear Lord, help us to love and not to judge. Help us to be fair to others and to help one another. Help us to know what is the truth in matters that we are facing and to stand up for it. Help us to accept correction in humility and help us to correct in love. Amen
-
Good morning Church Family. On this 9th day in Lent, God is reminding us about the ‘beatitudes’.
Remember Jesus’ sermon on the mountain in which he pronounced blessings:
• Blessed are the poor in spirit
• Blessed are those who mourn
• Blessed are the meek
• Blessed are the peace makers
• Etc (See Matthew 5:11)
There are about 8 of these beatitudes. God is reminding us today that we must satisfy all these requirements to be blessed. There’s no pick and choose. No room to say I can do one but not the others. It’s like the 10 commandments. If you fail one, you have failed the others.
Therefore, as we journey through this Lenten period, let us pray fervently that we will be able to fulfill those enunciated requirements for being blessed and therefore be truly blessed.
Lord have mercy upon us and write all your laws in hearts. We beseech thee.
Amen

Good morning Church family. Today is the 8th day in the holy season of Lent. One week is gone already and the second has just begun.
How’s your walk with God during this holy season of Lent?
Don’t forget, Lent is a time of deeper reflection, discipline in prayer, studying of God’s word and a time to show kindness to people.
Is there anyone who needs a little kindness from you? The person may not even deserve it but we are called to show love even to the undeserving. If there’s a time for it, it’s this period of Lent.
David asked, “Is there anyone still left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” 1 Samuel 9:1.
David thought very differently by seeking for the good and wellbeing the household of Saul who was his enemy.
As we journey through the Lenten season, let’s discipline our emotions. Let’s show kindness to others including those who don’t deserve it.
O God help us to be kind to others. Amen
-
Dear Church Family, warmest greetings on this 7th day in Lent.
God is our strength and in him we live and move and have our being. As we continue in our Lenten journey, God is encouraging us to remain strong and resolute in the face of challenges. Tough times don’t last, tough people do. Nothing stays forever including the challenges we face. Weeping may endure through the night, but joy comes in the morning. Be sure Morning is coming and we shall yet praise Him.
Pilgrims going to Jerusalem in the Bible times use to pass through the valley of baca - a place of difficulty and hardship. But the pilgrims instead of allowing themselves to be depressed and broken by the valley of baca will turn it into a valley of praise. Hallelujah
Therefore, God encourages us today to give him praise whatsoever be the weather.
We walk by faith and not by sight. The dark cloud we may be seeing today could pour out rain of blessings tomorrow. ‘For the Lord God is a Sun and shield; the Lord bestows favour and honour, no good things does he withhold from those whose way of life is blameless’ Psalm 84:11
Remain strong and resolute. Be joyful in the Lord what ever be your circumstance. Turn your valley of baca into a mountain of praise. God will grant you answers to your prayers.
Amen
-
Dear Church Family, greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today, the 6th day of Lent, God is reminding us that He is our helper - The God our Ebenezer!
The Psalmist says:
‘Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth’
Be assured that God is ever ready to help us. His mighty and outstretched hands reaches the ends of the earth.
Therefore, don’t give up in calling on Him.
Receive help for that matter. Receive help from Him who made the heavens and the earth. Receive divine intervention. May Jehovah our Ebenezer cause helpers to rise up to help you.
We pray in Jesus name. Amen
-
On the 5th day in Lent, we give thanks to God that in Christ we have been given the power to overcome temptation. Hallelujah .
This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be tempted at all but rather, we should prevail when tempted. Satan is always the tempter. During temptation, he attacks our faith and all we love and cherish. He sows seeds of doubt in our hearts to make us doubt all we had known and believe. But you have power through the knowledge of the Word of God to resist evil temptation.
Therefore study God’s word, listen to sound sermons, and obey God’s word. In doing so, you will overcome temptation. The answer during temptation is to quote the relevant scripture ‘it is written’.
Never be discouraged when you face temptation, you are not alone. We all face temptations. Even when you fail, just remember to rise up, make amends, forgive if you need to, repent where necessary, restitute if applicable and then run to the Lord to recharge your spirit.
This morning, remember you’ve got the power in the name of Jesus Christ to overcome trials and temptations.
May you be victorious in Jesus' name. Amen.
-
On the 4th day in Lent, God is reminding us to trust in Him.
We have in Jesus Christ the Saviour who took our human form and lived like we’re living today. He perfectly understands us. He knows all we have been through and what we are going through and what the future holds. He is walking along with us through endeavours and dangers, trials and temptations, rising up and falling down, etc.
He is admonishing us today to ‘be anxious for nothing’. He’s not saying that we shouldn’t think, plan and weigh our options or solution strategies in life. He’s saying don’t let fear of the unknown rule your thoughts and deprive you of peace today. In Christ you are fearfully and wonderfully made, redeemed and blessed and fashioned to succeed and not to fail.
Therefore, don’t be anxious but trust him who is the captain of the ship. He will definitely land you to that glorious shore he has promised.
Thus don’t let anxiety deprive you of sleep but ‘cast your cares on him because he cares for you’
Jesus loves you cares and will always do. Amen
-
On this 3rd day in Lent, God speaks to us from Micah 6: 8. It says:
‘He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?’
Dear Lord, help us to be good and to do good
Help us to be just and fair and to seek justice
Help us to be kind and humble.
We pray for ourselves and all others who are victims of injustice, Lord remember us and turn things around for us.
We pray for restoration to all who have been denied and deprived of their rights and privileges.
We pray for the marginalised, abandoned and neglected.
We pray for the weak, vulnerable and the helpless.
Lord have mercy.
Restore O Lord our fortunes and pour rains of abundance blessings upon us. May our nations know peace, justice and righteousness.
Lord in your mercy
Hear our prayers.

Day 2 in Lent
Remember that you are human and therefore, be humble.
Remember that others are humans too, therefore be kind, considerate, compassionate, gentle, loving and treat them as you would love to be treated.
Pray today for grace to be human and treat others as humans too.
Pray that you will be a blessing to someone today. It may be someone you spoke with on phone, someone who visited you or whom you visited, someone you prayed for, someone you meet outside, or even someone in your home.
Just do something today to bless someone. It’s in blessing others that we are blessed. It’s in giving that we receive. Do something amazing by being a blessing to someone today.
May God bless you and your family. Amen.

Good morning church family.
On this day, the fourth Sunday in Lent also called refreshment Sunday, we celebrate the gift of mothers, their ministries, roles and gifts they bring to build our homes, church and the society. Mothers are really great and their importance cannot be overstated.
We congratulate all our mothers and women. We give thanks to God for all their labours of love. We pray that God will keep them in His special care, meet them at the point of their respective needs and reward them super abundantly in Jesus name.
Happy Mothering Sunday to all our mothers and women.
God bless you all.

Good morning Church family.
Today is Lent 25. May God remember you and your family for good and great favour.
May His presence and the light of his countenance continue to shine upon you and give you strength to overcome every temptation. Amen
-
Today is the 24th day in Lent.
2Timothy 4:2
Preach the word in season and out of season. The word of God is a lamp unto our feet. The word of God is active and strong. It breaks yokes and bondages. It brings healing and revival. It gives strength and encouragement. It refreshes the soul and body. This is the reason why it is important to preach the word of God in season and out of season. It gives hope and life. I therefore encourage us to preach this word of God anywhere we found ourselves in order to save life and please God. This is the great commission given to us by Jesus to go into the world and make disciples of all nations.
Matthew 28:19
.
In this Lent, let us preach the word in season and out of season as Paul instructed Timothy. Do not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is our hope unto salvation. Through it, you may save your soul and that of others from perishing.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, give us the grace to preach your word not minding what the world will say about us and grant us eternal rest at last in your kingdom in Jesus name amen.

Today is the 22nd Day in Lent.
Daniel 11.32
"With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him."
My question today is, do you know your God? Those that serve Satan know him very well and what he is capable of doing. They try their best to please him.
As a child of God, you need to know your God very well, believe in his miracles, depend on his promises, teaching others about him in the face of challenges and working harder to know him more deeply.
In this Lenten period, we all need to study the word of God more, fast and pray to know our God because they that know their God will stand firm and do exploit.
Lord, give us the grace to know you more and more for us to overcome every temptation and do exploits in your name.
Amen
